Add a booking calendar to Wix

To add a booking calendar to Wix, copy your website code from RentalBeam and paste the script snippet into an Embed Code element. Guests see your open dates, synced from Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com. The calendar is free on every plan; the booking form (Pro) and the map (Plus or Pro) paste in the same way.

Availability calendar

Paste the calendar into Wix. Free on every plan. Use the script snippet in an Embed Code element.

What you need

  • A Wix page in the Editor
  • Your RentalBeam calendar widget
  • At least one connected OTA or iCal availability source

Steps

  1. Open the target page in the Wix editor
  2. Click Add Elements, choose Embed Code, then Embed HTML
  3. Paste the RentalBeam calendar script embed code
  4. Resize the embed box so the calendar has room, publish, and check the live page

Before you publish

  • Use Wix's dedicated Embed Code element - not a text box - so Wix does not escape the script.
  • Wix shows custom code on the published site, not always in the editor preview - check the live page before assuming the embed failed.
  • Give the embed box enough width and height for the calendar; Wix keeps custom code inside the box you draw.
  • If the box stays blank after publishing, switch to the Iframe snippet - it renders without JavaScript.

Where to put it

  • Use a full-width or wide content section so month cards have room to breathe.
  • Keep the calendar above testimonials or long descriptive sections.
  • Re-check padding after resizing the Wix embed container on tablet and mobile breakpoints.

The script snippet looks like this

html
<script src="https://cdn.rentalbeam.com/v1/embed.js" async></script>
<div class="rentalbeam-calendar" data-rental-id="your-rental-id" data-rb-reserved style="min-height: 386px;"></div>

The Wix Embed Code element runs the script embed on any plan, so the calendar keeps its responsive layout and automatic theme. If the embed box ever stays blank after publishing, the iframe snippet drops into the same element.

Booking form

Take booking requests on Wix. On Pro. Guests pick dates, see the price and send a request.

rentalbeam.com/dashboard
A rental's Booking form section: the live form preview with its website code beneath

Steps

  1. Edit the page where guests should submit booking requests
  2. Click Add Elements, choose Embed Code, then Embed HTML
  3. Paste the booking widget script embed code
  4. Resize the embed box, publish, and run a test inquiry on desktop and mobile

Before you publish

  • Keep the booking form in its own Wix section so surrounding columns or strips do not squeeze the form.
  • Give the embed box generous height - the form grows on mobile and Wix keeps custom code inside the box you draw.
  • Use the live published URL for your test inquiry, not only the editor preview, so you are testing the same environment guests will use.
  • If the box stays blank after publishing, switch to the Iframe snippet - it renders without JavaScript.

Where to put it

  • Keep the booking form in its own Wix section so surrounding columns or strips do not squeeze the inputs.
  • Run your test inquiry against the live published URL, not just the editor preview, so you replicate the real guest environment.
  • Booking settings you change in RentalBeam go live automatically: the embed always loads your latest setup, so you never need to touch the Wix page again.

The script snippet looks like this

html
<script src="https://cdn.rentalbeam.com/v1/embed.js" async></script>
<div class="rentalbeam-booking-form" data-rental-id="your-rental-id" data-rb-reserved style="width: 100%; max-width: min(100%, 840px); margin: 0 auto; min-height: 160px;"></div>

The Wix Embed Code element runs the booking form script on any plan, keeping the best loading and mobile behavior. If the embed box ever stays blank after publishing, the iframe snippet drops into the same element.

Map

Show where your rental is on Wix. On your own website with Plus or Pro. Exact pin or approximate area.

Steps

  1. Open the target page in the Wix editor
  2. Click Add Elements, choose Embed Code, then Embed HTML
  3. Paste the RentalBeam map script embed code
  4. Resize the embed box to match your chosen aspect ratio, publish, and check the live page

Save the rental's location on its Details page first.

Before you publish

  • Use Wix's dedicated Embed Code element - not a text box - so Wix does not escape the script.
  • Wix shows custom code on the published site, not always in the editor preview - check the live page before assuming the embed failed.
  • Match the embed box proportions to the aspect ratio you picked in the Map section (wide, standard, or square) so the map is not cropped.
  • If the box stays blank after publishing, switch to the Iframe snippet - it renders without JavaScript.

Where to put it

  • Use a full-width or wide content section so the map has room to breathe.
  • Keep the map close to your address or nearby-attractions copy.
  • Re-check padding after resizing the Wix embed container on tablet and mobile breakpoints.

The script snippet looks like this

html
<script src="https://cdn.rentalbeam.com/v1/embed.js" async></script>
<div class="rentalbeam-map" data-rental-id="your-rental-id"></div>

The Wix Embed Code element runs the script embed on any plan, so the map keeps its chosen theme and aspect ratio. If the embed box ever stays blank after publishing, the iframe snippet drops into the same element.

Troubleshooting

If a widget does not show on Wix. It goes in an Embed Code element. Then check these, in order.

If the embed box stays blank

Use the iframe snippet instead: it renders without JavaScript inside the same Embed Code element. Paste the whole snippet, including the small script after the iframe. If Wix strips that too, the iframe still works with a fixed height, and you can add theme=light or theme=dark to the iframe address to match your site.

The after-booking redirect stays off

If your booking form sends guests to your own page after they book, that redirect does not fire on Wix. Wix runs the embed inside its own frame and blocks it from moving the parent page, so guests stay on the confirmation message instead.

Carry dates from one page to another

Guests can pick dates on a page that lists all your rentals, then land on one rental's page with the dates already in the booking form. It takes a few lines in your page code and needs the script snippet; the iframe version cannot do it.

Read the search-then-book guide
  1. Publish the page and check the live address, not only the editor preview.
  2. Open the page in a private window to rule out a cached copy.
  3. Check that your RentalBeam calendar already shows the right booked dates before you look at the page.
  4. Send one test booking request from the live page and confirm the email reaches you.

Wix questions.

Can I use RentalBeam on Wix?

Yes. The availability calendar, the booking form and the map all paste into an Embed Code element on Wix, and they work alongside your Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com listings instead of replacing them.

Should I use a script or iframe on Wix?

The Wix Embed Code element runs the script embed on any plan, so the calendar keeps its responsive layout and automatic theme. If the embed box ever stays blank after publishing, the iframe snippet drops into the same element. In practice, script is the best default for Wix.

Will this sync with Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com?

Yes. RentalBeam supports any iCal URL, so you can import Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Google Calendar, and other compatible sources. The booking form reads the same calendar, so guests never see dates that are already booked elsewhere.

Do I need a property management system?

No. RentalBeam is for hosts who want synced availability and direct-booking tools without paying for a full PMS stack.

Does RentalBeam take a commission or booking fee on guest card payments?

RentalBeam Pro is a single direct-booking plan with no commission and no booking fee. It adds the booking form widget, guest-payment workflow, coupon codes, seasonal pricing, custom fields, booking rules, host email tools, and reply-from-inbox guest messaging. RentalBeam never takes a cut of your booking revenue. When a guest chooses to pay by card through RentalBeam, the only deduction is the standard Stripe card-processing fee, which is paid to Stripe - not RentalBeam. Inquiry, pay-later, and off-platform bookings (such as bank transfer) carry no per-transaction cost at all.

Which plan do I need?

The availability calendar works on every plan, including Free. The booking form needs Pro. Every plan can build and preview a map in a rental's Map section; showing it on your own website needs Plus or Pro.

Can I show an approximate area instead of my exact address?

Yes. Each rental's Details page lets you choose exact-pin mode or approximate-area mode. Approximate mode shows guests a shaded circle instead of your exact coordinates, and nearby highlights are withheld.
