Add a booking calendar to WordPress

To add a booking calendar to WordPress, copy your website code from RentalBeam and paste the script snippet into a Custom HTML block. Guests see your open dates, synced from Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com. The calendar is free on every plan; the booking form (Pro) and the map (Plus or Pro) paste in the same way.

Availability calendar

Paste the calendar into WordPress. Free on every plan. Use the script snippet in a Custom HTML block.

What you need

  • A WordPress page you can edit
  • Your RentalBeam calendar widget
  • At least one connected iCal source such as Airbnb or Vrbo

Steps

  1. Edit the page where guests check availability
  2. Add a Custom HTML block
  3. Paste the RentalBeam calendar embed code
  4. Preview the page and publish the update

Before you publish

  • Paste the embed into a Custom HTML block, not a Paragraph block, so WordPress does not escape the code.
  • Keep the calendar close to your main inquiry or booking button so guests can check dates and act without scrolling back up.
  • After changing the months per row, rows, or month size in RentalBeam, copy the updated embed and re-open the live preview so the published layout matches the current settings.

Where to put it

  • Place the calendar near your main Book Now button or inquiry CTA.
  • Keep surrounding copy short so the month grid stays the focal point.
  • Preview the page on mobile before publishing so the calendar spacing feels natural.

The script snippet looks like this

html
<script src="https://cdn.rentalbeam.com/v1/embed.js" async></script>
<div class="rentalbeam-calendar" data-rental-id="your-rental-id" data-rb-reserved style="min-height: 386px;"></div>

WordPress supports the full script embed, which keeps the calendar sized to your page.

Booking form

Take booking requests on WordPress. On Pro. Guests pick dates, see the price and send a request.

rentalbeam.com/dashboard

Steps

  1. Open the page with your booking button
  2. Insert a Custom HTML block where the booking form should appear
  3. Paste the booking widget embed code
  4. Update the page and submit a live test inquiry

Before you publish

  • Place the booking form directly below the availability calendar or next to your primary booking copy so the page reads as one clear booking flow.
  • If your theme adds very tight column widths, give the booking form section its own full-width row so the fields do not feel cramped.
  • Always submit one live test inquiry after publishing so you can confirm the widget renders correctly and the notification email arrives.

Where to put it

  • Put the booking widget directly below the availability calendar so guests can check dates and request a stay in one flow.
  • Avoid narrow theme columns around the widget: give the booking form a full-width or wide section so fields breathe on mobile.
  • After publishing, submit one real test inquiry to confirm notification emails arrive and the secure host review link works.

The script snippet looks like this

html
<script src="https://cdn.rentalbeam.com/v1/embed.js" async></script>
<div class="rentalbeam-booking-form" data-rental-id="your-rental-id" data-rb-reserved style="width: 100%; max-width: min(100%, 840px); margin: 0 auto; min-height: 160px;"></div>

WordPress usually allows the booking form script directly, so you can keep the best loading and mobile behavior.

Map

Show where your rental is on WordPress. On your own website with Plus or Pro. Exact pin or approximate area.

  2. Add a Custom HTML block
  3. Paste the RentalBeam map embed code
  4. Preview the page and publish the update

Save the rental's location on its Details page first.

Before you publish

  • Paste the embed into a Custom HTML block, not a Paragraph block, so WordPress does not escape the code.
  • Place the map near your address, directions, or nearby-attractions copy so guests find it naturally.
  • After changing the theme, pin style, or aspect ratio in the Map section, copy the updated embed code so the published page matches your latest choice.

Where to put it

  • Place the map near your address, directions, or nearby-attractions copy.
  • Give the map its own full-width section so the chosen aspect ratio does not feel cramped next to other content.
  • Preview the page on mobile before publishing so the map sizing feels natural.

The script snippet looks like this

html
<script src="https://cdn.rentalbeam.com/v1/embed.js" async></script>
<div class="rentalbeam-map" data-rental-id="your-rental-id"></div>

WordPress supports the full script embed, which keeps the map responsive and matches the theme and aspect ratio you chose in the Map section.

Troubleshooting

If a widget does not show on WordPress. It goes in a Custom HTML block. Then check these, in order.

Clear your cache after pasting

If a caching plugin is active, clear its cache after you add the code, so visitors get the page with the widget on it.

  1. Publish the page and check the live address, not only the editor preview.
  2. Open the page in a private window to rule out a cached copy.
  3. Check that your RentalBeam calendar already shows the right booked dates before you look at the page.
  4. Send one test booking request from the live page and confirm the email reaches you.

WordPress questions.

Can I use RentalBeam on WordPress?

Yes. The availability calendar, the booking form and the map all paste into a Custom HTML block on WordPress, and they work alongside your Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com listings instead of replacing them.

Should I use a script or iframe on WordPress?

WordPress supports the full script embed, which keeps the calendar sized to your page. In practice, script is the best default for WordPress.

Will this sync with Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com?

Yes. RentalBeam supports any iCal URL, so you can import Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Google Calendar, and other compatible sources. The booking form reads the same calendar, so guests never see dates that are already booked elsewhere.

Do I need a property management system?

No. RentalBeam is for hosts who want synced availability and direct-booking tools without paying for a full PMS stack.

Is there a RentalBeam WordPress plugin?

No, and you do not need one. RentalBeam gives you an embed snippet that you paste into a WordPress Custom HTML block, the same way you would add any other embed, so there is nothing to install, update, or keep compatible with your WordPress version. The calendar is served by RentalBeam and stays in sync with your connected iCal feeds, so changing your theme or updating WordPress does not break it.

Does RentalBeam take a commission or booking fee on guest card payments?

RentalBeam Pro is a single direct-booking plan with no commission and no booking fee. It adds the booking form widget, guest-payment workflow, coupon codes, seasonal pricing, custom fields, booking rules, host email tools, and reply-from-inbox guest messaging. RentalBeam never takes a cut of your booking revenue. When a guest chooses to pay by card through RentalBeam, the only deduction is the standard Stripe card-processing fee, which is paid to Stripe - not RentalBeam. Inquiry, pay-later, and off-platform bookings (such as bank transfer) carry no per-transaction cost at all.

Which plan do I need?

The availability calendar works on every plan, including Free. The booking form needs Pro. Every plan can build and preview a map in a rental's Map section; showing it on your own website needs Plus or Pro.

Can I show an approximate area instead of my exact address?

Yes. Each rental's Details page lets you choose exact-pin mode or approximate-area mode. Approximate mode shows guests a shaded circle instead of your exact coordinates, and nearby highlights are withheld.
