Colors & managed dates

Match the calendar to your brand and close dates by hand. Set in the dashboard, not in your website code.

Custom colors

On Plus and Pro, open the rental from the Rentals tab and choose Availability calendar under Widgets. In the builder's Appearance section you set the open, booked, closed, and background colors. The calendar on your website changes on its own, with no code to copy again.

RentalBeam branding

On Plus and Pro you can hide the small RentalBeam mark. It is one setting per rental, and it covers that rental's availability calendar and map together. The booking form carries no mark at all. Hide it and both update on your website on their own, with no code to copy again.

You will find it where you style them: open Availability calendar or Map under the rental's Widgets, and in the builder's appearance settings set RentalBeam branding to Hidden. Either builder works: it is the same setting, and changing it in one place covers both widgets.

On the free plan the mark stays visible. If you upgrade, hide it, and later move back to the free plan, your choice is remembered. The mark simply comes back while you are on a plan that includes it, and hides again if you upgrade later.

Managed dates

Managed dates let you block or label dates by hand, on top of the dates synced from your iCal sources. Use them for a maintenance window, an owner stay, a seasonal closure, or a hold.

1. 1Open the dashboard Rentals tab and open the rental.
2. 2Its Calendar page opens. Click a day, or a first and a last day.
3. 3Under Open or closed, choose Closed, Booked elsewhere, or Custom with your own title and color. Each choice saves as you tap it.

Managed dates show on the embedded widget. They can be included in your iCal export too.

Opening days another site closed

Airbnb, Vrbo and other sites also close days that are not bookings: days you blocked there, or the months past Airbnb's booking window. On the rental's Calendar page these show striped, with the site's name, while a guest's stay shows as a solid bar. Guests never see which site closed a day. Select the days and choose Open to open them on your website. Your iCal export then leaves them out too, so other sites see them open. The panel lists what each site says about the days you picked and when it last synced.

A guest's stay on another site, a booking taken through RentalBeam, and the days your own advance notice and booking window close always stay closed, even if you mark them available. Booking.com marks a booking and a blocked day the same way, so check Booking.com before opening its days. RentalBeam opens such a day on your website only, and keeps it closed in the iCal link it sends to other sites, in case it is a booking.

Prices on the calendar

On Plus and Pro your availability calendar can show your rate under each open day, so a guest sees what a night costs before they ask. It is off until you turn it on.

1. 1Set your usual price on the rental's Calendar page. Dates you price yourself and a weekend price show too.
2. 2Open Availability calendar, under the rental's Widgets.
3. 3Set Prices on the calendar to Shown. The preview beside it updates.

Booked and closed days never show a price. If your booking form hides prices, the calendar hides them too.
