Google Calendar sync
Bring a Google Calendar feed in, or push a RentalBeam export out - both directions, in one place.
Importing a Google Calendar into RentalBeam
If you block dates on a Google Calendar and want RentalBeam to treat them as unavailable, connect it as an iCal source the same way as any other platform:
- 1Open Google Calendar and, under Settings, select the calendar you want to sync from.
- 2Scroll to Integrate calendar and copy the Secret address in iCal format.
- 3In RentalBeam, open your rental, go to Sync, click Add iCal source, and paste that address.
Adding a RentalBeam export to Google Calendar
Going the other direction - subscribing your own Google Calendar to your combined RentalBeam availability - needs an export URL first; see Exporting your calendar (Plus and Pro). Once you have one, RentalBeam offers a one-click Open in Google Calendar quick-add action - the Google Calendaroption on each rental’s row on the Home tab - so you never have to copy and paste the address by hand - it takes you straight to Google Calendar’s subscribe screen with the feed already filled in.
The quick-add subscribes you to a personal feed called My Calendar: it shows each booking with the guest’s name and details, since it is your own private calendar, plus your prep-time days and advance-notice window, so every day blocked on your widget also shows in Google. It is separate from the Combined Feed you give to platforms, which keeps guest details hidden. You can adjust or delete My Calendar any time under the rental’s custom exports.
In your calendar, each kind of day carries its own name so you can tell them apart at a glance. A booking shows the guest’s name. A cleaning or turnover day shows Prep time. Days held back for your minimum lead time show Advance notice, and days past how far ahead you take bookings show Booking window. A date you closed by hand shows Closed. Each is tagged with your rental’s name so several feeds in one calendar stay clear.
