Iframe embed (recommended)

Before you start

You need your embed code first. In the RentalBeam dashboard, open the rental, choose Calendar or Map in its side menu, and copy the code from the Embed code section. Step by step: the calendar embed guide, or the booking widget embed guide if you are embedding the booking form.

Availability calendar

  1. 1Open the page in Google Sites on a computer
  2. 2In the right panel choose Insert, then Embed, then the Embed code tab
  3. 3Paste the RentalBeam calendar iframe snippet, click Next, then Insert
  4. 4Drag the bottom edge of the box until every month shows, then publish and check the live page
  • -Size the box on a computer. Google Sites works out the phone layout from it, so check the live page on a phone too.
  • -If the bottom of the calendar is cut off, drag the box taller. The box never grows by itself.
  • -Use the iframe snippet here, not the script snippet. Google Sites runs embedded code inside its own frame, which the iframe handles best.

Booking form

  1. 1Open the page where guests should send booking requests
  2. 2Choose Insert, then Embed, then the Embed code tab
  3. 3Paste the RentalBeam booking widget iframe snippet, click Next, then Insert
  4. 4Drag the box tall, publish, and send a test inquiry from the live page on a computer and a phone
  • -Make the box taller than the form looks at first. It gets longer as guests pick dates and fill in details.
  • -Use the full booking form, not the compact search bar. The bar opens the form over the page, and it cannot reach past the frame Google Sites puts around embedded code.
  • -Send one real test inquiry from the published page to confirm the email reaches you.
